Pumpkin Island, one of Australia’s best-kept secrets, is located 14 kilometers off the coast of Yeppoon in the Southern Great Barrier Reef’s Keppel Group of islands. The Island is the ideal getaway for couples, family gatherings, and larger parties celebrating special occasions. This six-hectare gem features seven solar- and wind-powered self-catering accommodations that can accommodate up to 34 visitors. All accommodations feature private patios and barbecues with a view of the sunset. There are so many things to do on this small island. The wildlife will enchant you; in season, you can observe dolphins, turtles, and whales. You can fish the abundant waters, snorkel or explore the coral reefs from a kayak or stand-up paddle board, harvest your own oysters from the rocky shores, or simply explore the secluded beaches.
