Tikehau Fafarua

The natives of the nearby atoll gave our private island the name Fafarua, which means “Manta Ray” in the language of the Tuamotu Islands. You can have the entire island to yourself by reserving Tikehau Fafarua. It’s also very out of the way, so you can relax in the midst of a pristine natural environment in relative seclusion. The lodgings are pleasant and constructed in the conventional Tuamotu fashion. The sleeping quarters consist of three individual beds. The bed in that one is lofted, and it’s a good size. One of the other bedrooms has a queen-size bed, while the other has two twin beds. The sofas, chairs, and ottomans in the large living room can easily convert to beds. In addition to the indoor dining area and lounge, there is also an outdoor seating area lined with coconut palms (a design element known as “fare potee”) and a table set up under the protection of a tree where guests can enjoy their meals during the candle-lit evening.
